Your Body Has Been Speaking For A While… Have You Been Able To Listen?
There comes a point where pushing through no longer works.
Not because you lack discipline or ambition, but because your body has been carrying more than your schedule has ever acknowledged. It has been holding what was never spoken, processing what was never paused and absorbing what was never released.
In that quiet, consistent way the body does, it begins to ask for your attention.
For many Black and women of colour, this weight is layered. It is not only the visible demands of work or business, but the invisible expectations that sit alongside them.
Cultural responsibility. Emotional labour. The need to remain strong, composed, capable, even when something within feels out of rhythm. Over time, the mind continues to lead, but the body begins to respond differently. Energy shifts. Clarity softens. Confidence feels harder to access. What once felt like resilience begins to feel like depletion.
This is not failure. It is communication and it is often the beginning of a different kind of awareness.
A Return to Self, Not an Escape From Life
Introducing Imani Sorhaindo, a Holistic Health Practitioner, Nervous System Regulation Specialist and Womb-Wellness Coach who gently guides women back into a deeper connection with their own bodies.
Her work is rooted in mindfulness, somatic healing and culturally familiar practices, creating a space where restoration feels natural and healing becomes both accessible and sustainable.
Drawing on a rich blend of ancestral wisdom and modern understanding of the body, Imani’s approach is shaped by African and Caribbean traditions, where healing is not separate from identity, but intrinsically connected to it. Her practice does not ask you to step away from your life, but instead supports you in returning to it with greater steadiness, presence and clarity.
Her five-week programme, Embodied Liberation, has been thoughtfully created for women of colour who recognise that traditional wellness spaces have not always reflected their lived experience. It offers something more intentional.
A space where your body is not overlooked, your emotions are not minimised and your experience is not something you have to translate or explain.
Through guided mindfulness, somatic healing practices, meditation and breath work, Imani supports participants in gently regulating the nervous system and releasing the tension that has been held, often for far longer than realised. Her work is not performative.
It is deeply restorative. It allows you to slow down without guilt, to breathe without restriction and to reconnect without pressure.
What makes her approach particularly powerful is that it meets you where you are. Whether you are leading a business, navigating a demanding career, supporting others, or quietly holding everything together, this work recognises that wellbeing is not separate from how you live, lead and show up in the world. It becomes part of how you think, how you decide and how you sustain yourself.
A Space to Restore, Reconnect and Rebalance
The image of stillness, balance and cultural grounding reflected in this programme is not accidental.
It speaks to something many women are now seeking, a way to reduce stress without suppressing it, to enhance self-awareness without judgement and to restore inner balance in a way that feels authentic and sustainable.
This is not about becoming someone new. It is about remembering who you are beneath the noise, the pressure and the expectations.
The KMT Rising Elevate Your Wellness programme runs from Friday 1st May to Friday 29th May 2026, from 7.30pm to 9.00pm GMT, offering a consistent, supportive rhythm over five weeks to begin that process of reconnection.
If you feel drawn to explore mindfulness, meditation and somatic healing in a way that honours your lived experience, this may be the space you have been looking for. It is a gentle but powerful step towards understanding your body differently, responding to stress with intention and creating a more balanced relationship with yourself.
