In an afternoon of financial conversation, we celebrate the towers we have built and discuss the psychological and economic importance of planning.

"SHE USED THE BRICKS THAT WERE THROWN AT HER TO BUILD A TOWER."

This famous saying is one females can relate to, one that points to the infinite power of women to rise in the face of adversity.

In the shadow of social and economic barriers and biases, women find a way to succeed.  There is a history of women supporting women, smashing glass ceilings, and fighting for justice and women's rights.

It demonstrates the metaphoric bricks we refer to that we use to build a better future and a tower of support that paves the way for change.

We recognise that this conversation can take many paths considering the discoveries of wealth, pension, and pay gaps over the years.  The need for financial education and personal empowerment amongst women continues, and the Amazing Women alliance are here for this.

We will discuss our psychological and financial resilience and work through ideas on how to build confidence, push forward and achieve our goals with financial freedom at the core.

Our strapline for the event is 'brick by brick, she built.'

The event host is Aleka Gutzmore, Founder of The Financial HUG - Financial Advisor and Mentor.

Aleka will provide insight into the need for women to become financially free and resilient while embedding the importance of sound financial planning.  She will draw on the latest UK money statistics and data from the chartered insurance institute and the study on the risks women in Britain face in life around finances.

Women's Wealth 101 - thought-provoking information and an opportunity for Q&A. Seeking the support and encouragement in the alliance of like-minded women.  We aim to help you create a focused and positive relationship with money, gain practical information to improve your mindset and perspective on life, particularly your financial well-being, and secure your future.  We do this in a fun atmosphere to alleviate the stress associated with money, knowing that women love to be celebrated and allowed to treat themselves to something nice.  (cream cakes, occasionally)

Aleka is interested in the importance of play for adults and brings the concept into the events.  Making the afternoon both fun and informative.  Play relieves stress, improves brain function, stimulates the mind, and boosts creativity.  

Play improves relationships and connections with others.  You're never too old to play and never too old to learn.

The day is full of fun and prizes - each guest will receive a financial well-being goodies bag packed with information for a financially secure future.
