What should women be focussing on during COVID19?
Women should be focussing on their mental, spiritual, physical and emotional health as a priority.
Women play a vital role in the family often having responsibility for children and nurturing family members.
Women also play a significant role in society dominating in fields such as teaching, health & social care, religious ministries and small business owners.
As a stabilising force, natural consoler and healer, women must prioritise themselves first to stay replenished to be effective in fulfilling their various roles and responsibilities.
This is something I have learned as part of my self-development when it comes to self-care.
It has and continues to be a time of self-discovery, trial and a great opportunity for those able to recognise, create, or seize it.
Starting in October I will featuring some phenomenal members of the community who during lockdown have thrived personally or in service to others on my podcast series ‘COVID Conquers’ which will share the power of a positive mindset and courageous spirit to overcome difficulty.
COVID-19 continues to drive home the necessity to strengthen and educate ourselves to effectively keep safe and well.
This includes throwing off fear and anxiety by strengthening our faith, boosting our immunity, eating the right foods, drinking more water, being selective of who and what we expose ourselves to whether, people, places or social media, getting daily exercise, meditating, journaling, praying as these are positive and healthy practices that we should focus on our optimum well-being.
I think Brexit will bring home to us the urgency to unify as a people and seriously look at returning to the Caribbean or Africa.
Brexit’s impact will drive home the benefits of living in those parts of the Earth that is rich with opportunity, sun, farmland, growth in innovation and technology and lower COVID-19 cases.
It would be prudent with Brexit approaching to prepare for food shortages and disruptions to energy suppliers by ensuring we as women take the lead in equipping ourselves and facilities with 3-6 months worth of food, water and essentials in our homes to make it through trying times ahead.
Remember Grandma always has extra in her cupboard and would talk about preparing for a ‘rainy day’!

What inspiration for 2021?
2021 is about unity on a global scale and creating opportunities for the benefit of self, family and the wider community.
It’s about strengthening our relationship with God and sharing our testimonies to inspire and give home to others.
One thing I’ve learned is that you have to boldly ‘Trust God’, trust yourself and trust the process.
