Ingredients:
For the steak bites:
1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
4 cloves garlic, minced
3 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
For the mashed potatoes:
4 large potatoes, peeled and chopped
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup milk or heavy cream
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Prepare the mashed potatoes: Boil the chopped potatoes in salted water for 15-20 minutes, or until fork-tender. Drain and mash with butter and milk, adding salt and pepper to taste. Set aside and keep warm.
Cook the steak bites: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steak bites with salt and pepper. Sear the steak for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
