Black influencers and advocators leading the way for change


These advocators have made significant contributions to the global natural hair movement through their information, tips, workshops and tutorials. By using their platforms they continue to dispel negative misconceptions regarding natural hair. They are constantly raising awareness, overcoming discrimination and are great role models for the movement.


Let’s start.


Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie - Nigerian author and feminist who has spoken extensively about embracing natural hair as a form of cultural identity and resistance against societal norms that seek to marginalize Black individuals.


Felicia Leatherwood - Celebrity stylist and natural hair advocate who has worked with high-profile clients such as Issa Rae and Ava DuVernay, and has used her platform to promote natural hair care and styling techniques.

A.A.Daughters – the influential natural hair and lifestyle blog run by sisters Adanna and Adaeze, dedicated to celebrating the beauty of natural hair.
