This research seeks to build a robust, evidence-led understanding of the challenges, barriers, and opportunities facing Black African and Caribbean entrepreneurs across the UK. At a time when inclusive growth, productivity, and innovation are central to the UK’s economic future, it is essential that the lived experiences of Black entrepreneurs are captured accurately, credibly, and at scale.
Data is at the heart of this work.
By gathering high-quality quantitative insights, the report will move the conversation beyond anecdote, providing a constructive, credible foundation to:
Advocate for meaningful and measurable change
Improve access to markets, finance, resources, and growth opportunities
Inform policymakers, buyers, investors, and decision-makers
Shape more inclusive economic and enterprise strategies
The findings of the Black Entrepreneur Report 2026 will be shared widely with stakeholders across government, industry, finance, and the investment community, ensuring that the voices and experiences of the Black African Caribbean diaspora are both heard and acted upon.
