RED FLAG WARNING: WHEN PUBLIC PRAISE HIDES PRIVATE PAIN

ree

Let’s be clear, narcissists don’t always come with warning labels. In fact, in public, they often shine like stars. Overly agreeable, always the “perfect” partner, the life of the party, charming, witty and oh-so-lovable.

But behind closed doors? That charm curdles fast.

Public Persona

  • Over-agreeing to win you over

  • Playing the “perfect” partner role

  • Funny, charismatic, admired by everyone

Private Reality

  • Gaslighting your truth

  • Manipulating your emotions

  • Cold, calculating and cruel when no one’s watching

This is how the cycle traps so many. The world sees their mask, you live with the monster behind it.

If your gut is whispering “something’s off” listen.

A person who only treats you with kindness when eyes are watching is not kind. That’s control dressed up as charisma.

If you’ve ever felt the disconnect between someone’s public charm and private cruelty, trust what your body and intuition have been trying to tell you. These are not harmless quirks or personality flaws, they are red flags.

You deserve love that is consistent, respectful and rooted in truth not performance.
