Today – Using the IGROWS model, we will look at the letter 'O' which stands for OPTIONS and we will also add 'Obstacle and Solution'.
I will give you an example which will include the other 3 letters we have used:
I – the Issue – I need to get a car.
G - the Goal – get a yellow automatic family car.
R- the Reality – I can’t afford a brand new car.
O - The OPTIONS | OBSTACLE | SOLUTION |
Take out a loan | Cannot afford to take another loan. | Don't get a loan. |
Start to save. | None | Set up a savings pan for car. |
Rent a car when needed. | Too expensive. | Don't rent. |
Get lifts to places | Too embarrassed at time to ask. | Just ask. |
Walk | Sometimes I feel too tired. | Start walking short distances. |
